8/8/08 New contract signed with Office Depot

The University has signed a new five year contract with Office Depot.  The new preferred supplier agreement continues the next-day, desk-top delivery and exceptional service.  Some of the additional features of the new contract include:

• An additional 8% average discount, amounting to over $100,000 in annual savings
• Improved and expanded core list of most frequently purchased items
• Increased discounts of 17% - 23% off of retail  price on products in the “Green Book”
• Personalized punchout page in buyND – access to individual reporting (mid-August 2008)
• Improved customer service team with a dedicated phone line (mid-August 2008)
• Office Depot interns (Notre Dame undergraduate students) will work with our Office of Sustainability on green product analysis.
