12/5/08 DHL service guarantee for domestic shipping
DHL domestic service will continue until January 30, 2009. However, DHL no longer guarantees that domestic shipments will be delivered in the promised service time. Please keep that in mind when sending a shipment using DHL.
DHL campus pickup will continue on a daily basis from the following locations:
- Grace Hall drop box
- Mail Distribution Center drop box
- Eck Center
- Joyce Center
- Law School
- Main Building (3rd Floor)
- Hesburgh Library dock
Procurement Services is currently evaluating the campus’ shipping needs and this evaluation will complete in January 2009.
11/12/08 DHL to discontinue domestic express service
DHL announced this week that they will discontinue domestic express service. As of January 30, 2009, DHL will discontinue domestic-only air and ground products and services. They will continue to offer international services.
Procurement Services is working diligently to secure competitive contracts for both domestic and international services. Any new contracts will be communicated to campus well before January 30, 2009, and with sufficient time to allow a smooth transition. Until then, the campus should continue to operate as it has with domestic and international shipping services through DHL, UPS or FedEx.
